Grandma March Bulgarian Cultural Project
The Grandma March Bulgarian Cultural Project will bring diversity in cultural offerings to rural communities in the St. Croix Valley in Wisconsin.
The 2025 grant will enable the artist, Maritsa Rosamillia, to organize the program’s components and then hold a Bulgarian musical performance that’s interwoven with interactive workshop elements at the Acreage in St. Croix, Wisconsin. The theme of this event will be Grandma March, a beloved mythological character in Bulgaria, who is the personification of the coming of Spring in Bulgaria.
The Grandma March Bulgarian Cultural Project was created by Maritsa Hristova Rosamillia, a 2011 Creativity Foundation Legacy Winner.
